Did you try putting new battery in it first?

After opening up remote the battery is glued or soldered to somekind of battery guard or whatever it's called. Was trying to save some $$$ but ended up going to the dealership, new remote $175. I really would like to get the one that's not working repaired so I can have a spare. I ordered a remote from this company, OriginalKeyless.com but the one they sent me won't work, it looked like my key but it seem to be abit smaller, when I would insert it into the slot where it goes on the vehicle it would just go in but wouldn't lock, it would just pop back out. Returned it immediately plus OriginalKeyless.com is not a good place to order anything from. You always get a recorded message and the only means of communicating with them is via email. The message always states that due to the high volume of service they can't answer the phone. That's BS, I will never use them again. My new key I got from dealership works fine, no problem.

Thanks for the info., but the site keyless-remotes.com does not have a listing for BMW's. If you know of a place where I can send my key remote to get it repaired I would be extremely grateful to you. Thanks...
