1999 Nissan Pathfinder Question: key chip

I hope you have fixed your no start problem by now. If I get a car with a no start I suspect is antitheft related, I try the second key if available. If the anti-theft light on the Pathfinder doesn't light check fuse #24 (7.5 Amp), and there is a 7.5 Amp fuse #11 in the circuit as well.
Did it require a Nissan scan tool to diagnose the Nissan anti theft system?
