Kar Tek Auto Repair & Smog
When my check engine light went on this morning heading to work in North Hollywood I panicked. I starting looking left and right on Laurel Canyon Blvd for an auto repair shop, and in a minute saw a big sign for Kar Tek so I pulled over. I was so nervous they were going to tell me something terrible was wrong with my engine. The owner Rick calmed me down and said he had to run a computer diagnostic test. In 2 minutes he determined the problem. Stupid me..I had my gas cap not screwed on tightly! He smiled and said it's a very common thing and not to be embarrassed. He tightened my gas cap and did a computer reset. No more Check Engine Light coming on! When I reached for my purse to pay him he quickly waived me off and said no charge. I couldn't believe my ears! All he asked was the next time I needed any type of auto repair or routine service maintenance to come back. At that moment I realized I was past due for an oil check and was happy to have Rick do my oil change on the spot. He had my oil filter in stock and took care me of right away. I was so happy that from now on I'm taking my car to Kar Tek in North Hollywood whenever I need a car repair. Thanks Rick!
