Question: just needed to know where the EGR valve is located

Rookie

hoping for a picture maybe, or diagram to help in locating the EGR valve. I am tight on money, and need the car running, and any answers to this email would be greatly apreciated, THANK YOU,

I can certainly relate to times being tough. Kia as a manufacture have put a lot of technical information on line for free

you have to sign up but its all free.
The EGR valve is on the drivers rear of the engine (air filter housing side of engine). There is also a electrical control solenoid that could be the problem, plugged passage ways, a vacuum hose that could be knocked off.

not there just the solenoid

stand on the drivers side of the car and look on the back of the motor towards the top its almost right under the cover
