Had the drain plug recalled, which Chrysler then charged $200 to replace freon. They want another $200 to "fix" the A/C. What else causes the vents to not blow cold air?

You should not have been charged anything for the recall. Safety Recall K25 Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Drain Tube and Grommet. Also, there is no reason to remove and replace the refrigerant to perform the recall. I suggest you return your vehicle to the Dealership which performed the service and talk to them about the charges. Ask why the refrigerant was replaced and advise them the A/C does not work since the service was performed.

The exact same thing happened to me...dealership said repairing the recall had nothing to do with ac not being cold anymore. ac worked fine before. I wouldn't pay for fixing because i know they messed something up...so we are just sweating...the things i'll do to stand up for myself. Think i'll let it go back. every year i'm replacing brakes, wheel bearing 1st year, tire pressure sensor, sounds like wheel bearing again needs to be worked on. I will never buy another Chrysler. It seems like the amount of money you pay for an AMERICAN MADE vehicle, you should at least be comfortable in it until its at least paid for.
