  I took my son's 1995 Chevy Corsica to JP Auto Repair, because it was running rough and had no power. I asked JP to call me with his diagnosis before doing any work. He didn't. After work, when I came to pick-up the car, I was presented with a $150 bill. The problem was one bad ignition coil ($30 part). However, JP also replaced all four spark plugs. I complained to JP that the spark plugs only had 8,000 miles on them and were good for at least another 70,000 miles and they didn't need replaced. JP said they looked "old" to him. I also complained that I hadn't approved any of the work, but I paid the bill so I could get my son's car without delay. You won't save any money at JP's compared to a dealer (30 to 40 minute job cost $100 labor) and you'll pay for unneeded work that you didn't authorize, just to increase JP's profit.
