1996 Ford E-150 Question: jerking during acceleration

attempting to accelerate from 30 to 55 van jerkes until it reaches 55, then smoothes out

    It could be many things, unfortunately and without experiencing the problem first hand or being able to do some basic diagnostic tests its hard to say. It could be a dirty fuel injector, a bad spark plug or failing ignition, or vacuum leak. It could even be a transmission issue, too hard to guess at without being able to do some sort of meaningful tests or at least drive the truck.
