Engine, March 4, 2002

RepairPal Expert Overview

Chrysler is recalling 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokees because the onboard refueling vapor recovery control valve may become detached during a crash, which can cause fuel leakage. In the presence of an ignition source, fuel leakage can result in a fire. Dealers will either replace the fuel tank brush guard with a skid plate or reinforce the existing fuel tank brush guard with a reinforcement bracket.
