I've been taking my '03 Nissan Maxima and my wife's '00 Honda Civic to Japanese Car Care for the last 10 months for regular maintenance and some other needed repairs, and we could not be happier. Quality work, reasonable prices, and, most importantly, transparency and honesty each and every time. Thanks Carlos and Hugo. You are both great!
I took my car there a couple of weeks ago just to have a couple of parts replaced.
My car is pretty old and shabby. The only nice thing on the car was my custom license plate frame. It was just a simple black frame that outlined the tag. No frills but that's what made it slick!
I pick up my car thinking everything is fine. The next day or so, I go shopping and realize that they had taken off my license plate frame and replaced it with an advertisement for their repair shop!
I call them up and speak with Hugo, the manager. He says he needs to talk to the mechanic...I forget his name. It takes a day or so for Hugo to talk to him. Turns out the mechanic is the owner! Hugo tried to get me to go over there so they could search for my trunk for my original frame. I had already done that to the 10th degree! No way I was going to drive 20~30 miles for a $10~$20 license plate.
In the end the owner was supposed to call me back but never did. They did nothing! If they were sincere, all they had to do was PayPal me $10 or $20 and I would have been satisfied. PayPaling me would not inconvenience me as I wouldn't have to drive there to get the money or go to the bank if they had sent a check. None of this even crossed their mind. From the get go they never tried to a real solution to the problem.
