RepairPal Expert Overview:

All late model vehicles are equipped with a tire pressure information label. These vehicles are being recalled because "none" may be indicated for the recommended spare tire pressure. As a result the spare tire may not be properly inflated and ready to use if the need arises. Dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and attach a new tire pressure label as necessary to correct this concern.

297 vehicles are being recalled because one or both rear tow adjustment links may come loose from the rear sub-frame. These adjustment links are used to help control rear wheel alignment. If a tow link were to come loose a loss of directional control could result, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the nut and washer assembly on the rear toe links to correct this concern.

RepairPal Expert Overview:

When the convertible roof is operated, the power windows are also activated. The switch in the overhead console for opening and closing the convertible roof does not operate the power windows in a manner consistent with federal safety standards. Dealers will replace the overhead console with a new one which contains a revised switch to correct this concern.

RepairPal Expert Overview:

One of the components of the engine air intake system is the Charge Air Cooler (CAC). The CAC cools the incoming air after it is compressed by the turbocharger. Special hoses connect the components of the intake system. These vehicles are being recalled because one of the hose clamps at the CAC may be out of position and loose, the hose may come off as a result. If the hose were to come off, the engine could stall, increasing the risk of a crash. Power assist for the brakes and steering would also be affected. Dealers will inspect the CAC hose clamp to make sure it is positioned and tightened correctly.

The fuel pump operaton is controlled by an electronic module that may shut down causing the fuel pump to stop and the engine to stall. If the engine stalls while driving, power steering and braking assist will be diminished. These systems will still function but will require much greater effort, increasing the risk of a crash. Jaguar dealers will install an additional wring harness to the in-tank fuel pump to correct this concern.

Vehicles equipped with a 5.0L gasoline engine are being recalled because a fuel leak can develop in the area of the fuel tank due to a cracked flange. This may result in an abnormal fuel smell or in fuel leakage onto the ground. This leaking fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, may result in a vehicle fire. Jaguar dealers will replace the affected fuel tank fuel outlet flange to correct this concern. The Jaguar recall number is J027.

51 vehicles were assembled with the incorrect gross vehicle weight rating label. This could lead to vehicle overloading, which affects vehicle stability and could increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the label to correct this concern. The Jaguar recall number is J025.

Leaks may develop from the metal power steering lines due to improper corrosion protection. Loss of power steering fluid can result in a loss of power steering assist, increasing the risk of a crash. Leaking power steering fluid also increases the risk of a fire. Dealers will replace the suspect or leaking power steering lines. This recall is expected to begin by April 11, 2011. The Jaguar recall number is J018.

The securing nuts on the wiper arms may not be tightened correctly. If this is the case the wiper arm may become loose, as a result the wiper may not function correctly and in extreme cases, fall off of the vehicle. The recall procedure involves ensuring the wiper arms are securely attached to the spindle and the securing nut is tightened properly.

Jaguar is recalling 2010–2011 XK and 2010 XF V8 5.OL vehicles because the fuel pump relay may not energize following a start-up cycle, which will affect the amount of fuel supplied to the engine. Fuel starvation can cause engine stumble or cut out, which can increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will download revised software free of charge.
