Jaguar will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning January 23, 2012. There are no symptoms related to this recall. If don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.
51 vehicles were assembled with the incorrect gross vehicle weight rating label. This could lead to vehicle overloading, which affects vehicle stability and could increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the label to correct this concern. The Jaguar recall number is J025.

JAGUAR IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2012 XF VEHICLES, MANUFACTURED FROM SEPTEMBER 7, 2011, THROUGH NOVEMBER 24, 2011, FOR AN INCORRECT CERTIFICATION LABEL. SINCE THE GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING (GVWR) IS STATED INCORRECTLY, THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF PART 567, "CERTIFICATION".
CUSTOMERS MAY UNKNOWINGLY EXCEED THE GVWR. EXCEEDING THE GVWR OF THE VEHICLE, CAN LEAD TO LOSS OF VEHICLE STABILITY, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
JAGUAR WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE LABEL. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 23, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT JAGUAR AT 1-800-452-4827.
