The fuel pump is in the gas tank, when the ignition key is turned on the computer briefly energizes the fuel pump to prime the fuel system, the computer then looks for an ignition cranking or running signal allowing the fuel pump to continue running. The oil pressure switch also allows the fuel pump to run once oil pressure is achieved and maintained. There is a fuel pump relay in the engine compartment near the fuse box. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... Alldata is very easy to navigate http://bit.ly/AllData_Repair_Manuals_Online .
