it cut off when driving and now will not crank. on 2000 Volkswagen Beetle TDI

the motor will zew over, but not crank, there are no leaks in fuel or oil, everthing else seems to work, it just won't crank.????

This also happened to me. Try replacing the crank position sensor. This should fix it. If not then replace the cam sensor. You should Google crank position sensor and the year,make,model of the car and symptoms. Then you will know for sure. They have totally different other symptoms along with the symptoms you described!!!
