These vehicles are being recalled because the headlamp driver module (HDM) can overheat and fail. This will cause the headlights and daytime running lights to stop working. Loss of this lighting will affect the ability of the driver to see the road and reduce the vehicle's visibility to oncoming vehicles, both of which increase the risk of a vehicle crash. The remedy for this problem is still under development and not yet available.
The module that operates the power window and lock switches can allow moisture in, causing corrosion that can lead to a short circuit. This results in window and lock functions not working, and creates a fire risk. Dealers will inspect and replace affected modules free of charge to resolve the concern.
Road salt can cause excessive corrosion near the forward mounting bracket for the left or right rear suspension lower link. As a result the bracket can come loose from the frame, impacting vehicle handling and increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect the affected vehicles. If little or no corrosion is found, the area will be treated with an anti-corrosive compound. If the corrosion has affected the connection between the bracket and the frame a reinforcement bracket will be installed. In very severe cases were a repair is not feasible, Isuzu has a vehicle buy back program in place. All inspections and remedies will be provided free of charge for vehicles that are 10 years old or less. For vehicles older than 10 years, Isuzu will offer a free remedy, but only if the vehicle is presented to an Isuzu service facility dealer within 12 months of when owner notifications were issued, after that time owners will be charged for the repairs.

The lower link bracket can become detached from the frame, which can affect vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect the affected area. If little or nor corrosion is found, the area will be treated with an anti-corrosive compound. For vehicles in which corrosion has damaged the rear suspension lower link bracket, a reinforcement bracket will be installed. In the rare event the corrosion is so severe that the reinforcement bracket remedy would not be appropriate, Isuzu will offer to repurchase the vehicle for an amount based on the Kelly Blue Book "private party price." All inspections and remedies will be provided free of charge for vehicles that are ten years old or less. For vehicles older than ten years, Isuzu will offer a free remedy, but only if the vehicle is presented to an Isuzu dealer within 12 months of when owner notifications were issued.
General Motors is recalling certain 2004–2011 Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Isuzu regular and extended cab models without a rear seat and equipped with a 60/40 front bench split seat for failing to comply with federal safety standards on child restraint anchorage systems. The top tether anchor for the front center seat is not accessible and the manual provides no instruction on its use. In order to correct the problem, dealers will cut a hole in the back panel trim cover to allow access to the top tether anchor and will provide supplemental instructions on the use of the top tether.
General Motors is recalling various 2004–2009 models in twelve Southern and Southwestern states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands due to contamination in the brake lamp switch, which may cause the brake lamps to fail or stay on continuously. This could lead to a crash since other drivers may not be aware of the operator's intentions. Dealers will inspect and replace the necessary components free of charge. The tire and loading information label on the driver's side door frame may be inaccurate. A misprinted label could lead to overloading of the vehicle, which could possibly lead to tire failure and a crash. Owners will be provided with corrected labels and installation instructions. At customers' request, a dealer can install the label for them. The recall began March 31, 2006. The GM recall number is 05109.
