IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO REPAIR A REAR ENGINE OIL LEAK WITHOUT REMOVING ENGINE? on 2002 Cadillac DeVille

ONE COMMENT IN PROBLEMS REPORTED INDICATE THAT THERE WAS ANOTHER WAY TO REPAIR OIL LEAK WITHOUT REMOVING ENGINE, ETC.???

It depends on what is leaking. If it is the rear main crank seal, then yes the engine has to come out, if it is the valve cover gaskets or intake manifold, then no.

okay.. I have an oil leak that is pouring out right by my oil filter. it seem as if some sort of wire goes in there but i dont know. I seen a sort of an connector that connects to where the oil filter goes!

Sounds like oil pressure sensor. Need special socket to replace it. Unplug it screw off old one screw in new one it should already have thread sealer on it. Plug it back in. It's happened about half a dozen times to me in the last 18 years screwing around with gm.
