Question: is there a transmission problem

why it won't go? it will start right up but won't go in driv reverse nothing??/

  It is hard to say for sure without looking at it, the cable could be broke that selects the gears, or the fluid could be low, or failure in the transmission that will not allow it to build pressure and drive the wheels.
