Question: Is the repair of the timing chain costly?

 Rookie

It broke while I was driving. I pulled over and it wouldn't start. Can my engine be saved or does it have to be junked?

  It can be saved,these things wear out over time,the chain and the gears that it rides on-just a matter of how much you want to spend .Ask your local repair shop.
