2009 Buick Enclave Question: Is the 30,000 mile service necessary?

My Buick Enclave service manual shows I should get a 30,000 service check. The dealership tells me this is $500. Is this necessary? It's due for an oil change and I was going to rotate the tires but not sure if I should just get the 30,000 mile service package.

According to the owner's manual your vehicle is equipped with an oil life system: "Change Engine Oil Soon" light plus Maintenance I or II messages will display depending of the driving conditions. There are additional required services at 25, 50, 75, 100 125 and 150,000 Miles.
