Is it worth repairing again? The timing belt broke and repair est. is $700. on 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Just had the transmission replaced for $1600. It has about 200,000 miles on it. The shop says to replace timing belt and water pump will cost about $1,000. Is this reasonable? And if I do repair it, is it likely that something else MAJOR will need repaired soon?

It's an older car, and a lot of miles. Sure more things can still go wrong. The price for there is probably OK, but use the estimator tab on top of this page for your zip code area.
