When I am driving and 2,3,4, or 5th gear is engaged, when I press to accelerate, the engine revs up a little then cathces up with it self. If that makes sense. My foot is nowhere near the clutch when this occurs. Would this be the clutch slipping?

Definitely clutch is slipping. Get it fixed asap before any damage is done to the fly wheel. Clutch parts should be about 250-300. Unfortunately labor is the bulk of the repair cost. Just had mine done for a bit about 800.
