When I turn my key over to start my SUV, it doesn't make a sound or start. The dashboard lights up, lights come on full strength, but the SUV doesn't even attempt to start. This has only happened twice and now the SUV remains to do the same at each attempt.
What could it be?

Have someone help and get a hammer and rap on the starter while trying to start the car just to see if the starter may be going out. This will jar the starter in case the brushes or bushings are going bad. If the starter try's to move or start, replace it, no guarantee it will work again.

Big Dawg... I am in North Charleston and I am having the same problem. I changed the neutral safety switch and starter with no luck, my battery is good. Im thinking it is the ignition or the anti-theft system. I start intermittingly and will keep you posted... please do the same. My email is nick_russo@yahoo.com

Is your theft light staying on or blinking. That is a sign of Pats system.

I checked the key when the truck won't start I noticed the anti-theft system light blinking rapidly, changed keys and it stars right up.

Use that key until you can get another programmed. The other might have been compromised some how.
