At 80,000 miles, our Honda dealer advised that we replace the front motor mount due a crack. They claim this is very common on Honda models that share the engine cradle to need this work at around 80k. Curious, is this true? Are the other mounts likely to need replacement in the future? For reference, the work cost $500. Thanks!

it's very possible that you need the motor mount, it's possible that it's a weak design prone to failure, but I think I'd get it checked by and independent Honda specialist because the 'very common' phrase is a little too convenient for me.
But $500 for a motor mount? I'd get a second opinion.
