Have a 2007 Chrys. Pt Crus, w/21,000 mi. I am not a clutch rider. Been driving for app.50 yrs. Hard to shift. took to dealer, they replc. shift cable. Under warranty. No help. Then took back, they now want about $900.00 to put clutch assby. in. Not under warranty. Could bad clutch cable cause pressure plate damage?

Clutch life varies for many reasons, Driver, geographical terrain, clutch contamination from fluid leaks and sticking of binding components. You first mention that the shift cable was replaced, then clutch cable. The answer to your question is "NO". The clutch on your vehicle is hydraulic, no cable.
