This is a resonable price. Your type of vehicle has a common problem with the gas tank seal around the fuel pump. That's whats probably leaking and it will be easy for the technician to see the smoke because you can by no means see the top of the gas tank where this part is located. No technician can even tell if its leaking without the smoke even if they were looking right at the seal. There is always the possibility of there being another problem such as a failed gas cap, or rubbed through emissins piping.
