Irwin Service Center & Quick Lane
So far... mixed bag at this place. My Mazda 3 2010 service went okay (oil and tire rotation). My Mazda 3 2006 was another story. This car had front end damage from animat strike. I asked for estimate for repairs to follow. This took two hours and mechanic recommended hood and bumper when all lower parts were affected (mesh and lower shields). Car was pulled up for me to take when Service Rep noticed wrong diagnosis. Mechanic looked under parked car and prioceeded to recommend only partial amount of parts needed. I paid upfront for partial amount of parts. My appointment for the next week was not respected in favor of the "Morning Rush" so basically I drive the 22 miles the night before just to wait until I called and was asked "Well, what time do you want it?" And for this I paid up front and had an appointment. So, 12:00 was the estimated time. When I showed, car was up on lift and it was explained to me that additional parts were needed (because the originasl mechanic could not see theparts from inspecting it on the ground). So now, my estimate is blown. They ordered a grill instead of a mesh, are charging me full retail for the mesh $64, when all internet prices are $51 max (as far low as $39). The additional part is a three hour repair. Half labor was removed, but I feel I shouldn't have to pay any labor to undo last weeks work to put on the part not ordered. So, this story is not finished yet, but my original estimate has been changed to add three hundred plus dollars, and I sitll have to drive the car back to finish the work. Everyong seems nice enough, but I can't say I'm real happy.
