Strong customer service, I was kept apprised of the issues and cost associated with fixing them throughout. They performed very extensive research on the problem while working on it on a database so they were able to precisely troubleshoot and quickly fix the issue. Giovanni was exceptionally helpful and professional in his style.
They kept my car almost two days, but they could not repair it. They told me that the car needs a new computer. So they simply started my car and I drove home from San Francisco to WA state. I could not start it next day. I took my car to my mechanic. They only changed a battery. My car runs nicely since then. International Sports Motor charged me $715 for checking, testing for two days. I don't understand that they charged me that much without fixing it.
The service was poor and extremely slow. I was told it would be completed in less than one day, and in reality it took THREE. This wouldn't have been that much of an issue if I hadn't informed them that I don't live by the bay. I live two hours away, and I couldn't afford I stay in the city. They told me they would accommodate me and get it done first thing Monday morning. Which was not the truth. Whenever I called to get an update, they were vague and rude and careless. On top of that, I paid them to fix an issue and they didn't actually fix it. Two weeks after the "repair", the issue returned. I've never been so enraged at a business before. Basically I spent $150 for them to keep my car for three days, not fix it, and be be stranded in the city and had to miss two days of work.
I was out of town for about two weeks after I dropped my car off and they held it for me the entire time no questions asked and no extra charge. I really appreciated that as other spots wouldn't do that for me. I also was very satisfied with the warranty on my repair and the price was comparable to market rates.
Giovanni took my car and tranformed it into a new daily driver, it's a 1984 and has never run or looked this good. I was getting ripped off from an independent shop, Auto Sport Haus and now have found a shop (ISM) that can do Body work, Mechanical and all the in between work. Giovanni even let me bring in a few parts and only charged me to R&R them. I like his honest approach and will now take my other cars to him. Stay away from shops that don't give you a written estimate and charge you up to 50% to 100% on parts like A.S.H. did. They (A.S.H.) should not be in business.
We have used International Sport Motors previously for both cars and have had good service each time. For me good service includes being accommodating, proactively keeping me informed about progress and likely times of completion. The maintenance and repairs are done right first time without reason of taking the car back a second time. We're sticking with them.
I had my car in International Motors twice in the past year, and to say I was happy with the service I received would be an under-statement.
I have Giovanni to be extreamly frank and helpful. During a recent visit he found found that work carried out at another garage to be unsatisfactory. He personally contacted the garage, told what was wrong and brought the car to the other garage to have the problem resolved.
That is what I call excellent service.

I had my BMW 740il towed to ISM on a recommendation (ignition lock/tumblers unexpectedly seized up). The team at ISM were all very pleasant & helpful, from the front office to the shop floor. The quality of work on my car was top-notch, used genuine BMW parts, but saved me money by by having lower--and much more reasonable--labor rates versus traditional BMW delaerships. Their communication & follow-through could serve as a textbook example of "how-to-do-it-right" in any industry. I highly recommend them and will be bringing my car back in the future, as I witnessed evidence of great mechanical & body work being performed on several other brands of vehicles.
They were introduced to me by a good friend and have treated me like family ever since. I can't say enough good about them from the smily and resourceful girl that checked me it, the kind mechanic that drove me to the car rental and the owner Giovanni that guided me through the work performed. I feel I can trust them and that is the single most important thing I look for in an auto repair shop. Thank You!
I've been coming to ISM for a number of years. It started with my previous car, a 1985 Alfa Romeo GTV6. I have always found Giovanni and the rest of the staff to be courteous and professional, as well as providing good value. Necessary repairs are explained clearly and honestly. ISM continues to be my preferred choice for auto repairs.
My most recent experience at I/S/M had to do with a Disturbing front end noice.to make matters,
it was only "some times".In the last few couple of hundred miles or so it had become more frequent
and louder.All the popular MBZ Exclusive shops said;It could be this it could be that,maybe a
major front end repair and on and On.No one but Giovanni took the time to listen to Me(I'm not
very mechanical minded).Giovanni drove the car with me until the sound was duplicated,then had
it put on the lift and he and the Tech looked for a simple answer first;something loose.Bingo
a loose bolt.Giovanni believes in doing the basics first;to Identify "The Problem",not the
possible or even probable problem.This save the customers like Me money.
I wanted to thank International Sport Motors for the fantastic repair/paint job of my 2002 BMW 540. I was rear ended on the freeway, and Giovanni Palazzo (the owner) was able to repair my car to "like new" condition. The car looks like it did when it was brand new! I would also like to state that the service and professionalism of the entire staff needs to be applauded. International Sport Motors worked with my insurance company and resolved all the issues to bring my car back to pre-accident condition. Thank you ISM!
I went to ISM for the first time two weeks ago to receive a diagnostic for my driver side & rear passenger window. After returning today Nov. 12th to have the parts installed. All I can say is outstanding!! The Customer Service was excellent from all ends, from the Management, Customer Service Reps. to the Service Mechanics. I traveled from San Leandro, Ca because I could not find a shop that I could count on in my area. They were fast, efficient and polite. I couldn't be happier anywhere else. I will continue to use ISM in the near future, because they are dependable.
