Intermittent Check engine light on 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt

I read about the misfire that is common on the 2.4L. My question is how do I get it fixed? Everytime I bring it to the dealer the light doesn't come on. The next day it's back and around I go again

Once the light has come on, the code will be stored until someone erases the it, so when you take it in, have them give you a printout of the stored code information. Post the code here and someone may have some info for you.

To the anonymous user: Take this to another shop that can properly diagnose this, or demand that they explain why the problem continues to occur after they have replaced a bunch of parts? Why should you have any faith in any of their recommendations now? Look here for better options:

I am having the same problem. I took to AAMCO and they replaced my plugs and spark plug wires along with the boots. It came back on. The diagonosies was a fuel injection misfire. Had those cleaned and today it is back in the shop. They are now saying need a new oxygen sensor? I am so tired of this entire thing. They have reset the light 3 times and after a day it is BACK!!
