Question: interior lights won't go off

the button that pushes in and out on my door frame broke off tonight and the interior lights won't go off. how do i disconnect the button since it's in the frame of the car?

    I believe that the switch comes straight out and then gets disconnected.

    the button is already all the way out, but now the interior lights won't go off. it fell out when i was washing it tonight. is there another way to disconnect it? if i pull the fuse i loose all kinds of thing with it. Help!

    I looked up the wiring schematic and found that your door ajar switch is a normally open switch. This means if you unplug or somehow disconnect the switch, it will shut the interior lights off.
