I've had this problem whenever there is moisture in the air, whenever the front passenger door is open and then closed, the interior lights and door ajar lights will stay on even while driving. Is there a way to just remove that sensor or make it so the vehicle thinks that the door is always closed?

Try this before all that: lube the latches. The door ajar switches are in the latches of the doors. They often get sticky and bind. Lubing them and opening/closing the doors a few times may help free them up and temporarily at least.
