Question: Interior lights

Rookie
after car sits for many hours, unlocked (like in garage), the interior lights do not come on when door is opened. They only come on after car is started or you hit the open locks on the key FOB. And this also starts the interior CD changer to reload all the CD's...Anyone have any ideas?

MasterThis may be normal, the system may be shutting of the interior light system so it doesn't drain the battery. When you start the car or use the remote the system is then turned on. You may be able to verify this is an owners manual, maybe...http://bit.ly/BMW_Owners_Manuals
