Interior light problems on 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty

i recently bought this truck. The door ajar light is on all the time, but I do not have overhead lights unless I turn them on manually. The overhead information center does not work. Some one has cut a cluster of (5) wires under the dash. I have not been successful in locating where these wires connect. Is it possible that all of the problems are from this wire cluster being cut. The dealer ship seems just to want to get it in the shop to diagnose. Thanks

Door rubber is getting stiff and doors are not closeing enough to turn off sensers. Spray rubber lubricant or pledge on rubber seals. It mat take two or three applications. Had same problem with 97 Ranger. Carl
