Intake manifold gasket on 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I have a blown intake gasket and im wondering which one im to replace the upper, lower or both. I have a 2004 silverado with a 5.3 liter. Thanks, Gary

I literally just got done doing an intake job. It all depends on where the leak is coming from, if its coming from the bottom or you're carb/EFI then its you're upper intake manifold gasket, if the leak is on you're engine block, it's most likely the gasket that would go in between the lower intake manifold. You have a 5.3l, so you don't have to worry about you're timing too much doing this job if you plan todo it, should be easy, buy a Haynes manual and it'll give you step my step instructions.
