1995 BMW 318is

Question: Instrument Panel Lights Out

 Rookie

I have a 1995 318is bought new. 185,000 miles.Always taken care of. One day intrument panel. window buttons on shift console, heat/ac/ radio am/fm/tape lights went out( orangle backlight). The odometer, abs and headlight green indicator stayed on. As all went out at once I'm thinking fuses..but I replaced the instrument illumination fuses in box, no change. Is there something I'm missing?
