Question
In the lower part of the speedometer, there several indicators, for example the Trip (miles indicator). In the same area, there is a light indicator "INSPECTION" that comes up when the car gets started. It stays for a few seconds and it goes away.
The car has about 57,000 miles.
Does it need an oil change?

The way that the BMW maintenance system works is it will count down from 15000 miles between schedules services, and when the 15000 miles has expired, the computer will tell you to go in for either an Inspection I, or an Inspection II.
