Is there any way to visually tell if the CV axle on my 1987 Dodge Caravan 3.0 needs replacing.

If the rubber boots are torn, it's time to replace the axle. Once the boots are open, the grease sprays out and water and dirt get in making the joint fail. If you hear clacking noises when you turn and give it gas, it's usually failing CV joints.

Thanks Superbob, I'll check those boots early tommorow morning. I hope that's my problem.
