Question: initially ran out of gas and then battery went dead

had battery re-charged but still nothing happens when turn on switch

    Are the battery connections clean tight and secure. Check the battery voltage across the battery at rest should be 12.6 volts or so otherwise the battery is not charged. Did anyone test the battery doing a hydrometer or high rate discharge test on the battery to see if it was any good. Try to jump start the car of another car and see if it will start of just turn on the head light on your car and see if they light up. If the battery is 3 to 5 years old it would be at the end of its life but your car is only 2 to 3 years old.
