when the engine is cold....after backing out of the garage..and shifting into drive the car seems to hesitate engaging for about 1/2 sec...so i accellerat but the gears are not enagaged...then it bumps into gear and i never feel it again while the car is driving...seems to be getting worse over the last few mo/weeks

    Hello,
    Did you ever get this resolved? Was the transmission faulty? Did you try getting the software updated for the transmission module?

    pretty much normal in all mercedes after some amountof millage...if its getting worse you need some trnas fluid adding ...just 1/2 q. then test it.
