A malfunction may occur in the occupant classification system, which determines if an adult is seated in the passenger front seat. If this occurs, the passenger front air bag may not deploy as needed in a crash, resulting in occupant injury.

The vehicle's front wheel hub assemblies may not be tightened properly, resulting in reduced braking performance and steering control. This could lead to an accident.
