Child Seat Anchors May Not Be in the Correct Location
On 137 vehicles, the lower child seat anchors in the rear seat may not be in the correct location and may cause difficulty securing some child seats. If a child seat is not secured, there is an increased risk of injury in a crash.
Please contact your Infiniti dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
On 137 vehicles, the lower child seat anchors in the rear seat do not meet the location requirement as stated by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard, and may cause difficulty securing some child seats. If a child seat is not secured, there is an increased risk of injury in a crash. Dealers will replace the lower seat anchor brackets with modified ones. The recall began on October 17, 2005.

CHILD SEAT:VEHICLE LATCH ANCHOR
CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH POWER REAR SEATS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 225, "CHILD RESTRAINT ANCHORAGE SYSTEMS." THE LOWER ANCHORAGE BRACKETS IN THE REAR SEATS DO NOT MEET THE LOCATION REQUIREMENT IN THIS STANDARD. THIS MAY CAUSE DIFFICULTY IN ATTACHING SOME CHILD SEATS TO THESE BRACKETS.
IF A CHILD SEAT IS NOT SECURED, THERE IS AN INCREASED RISK OF INJURY IN A CRASH.
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE LOWER ANCHORAGE BRACKETS WITH MODIFIED ONES TO ENSURE THAT THE STANDARD IS MET. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 17, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT INFINITI AT 1-800-662-6200.
