Infiniti will contact owners of affect vehicles beginning April 16, 2007. If you have not been contacted, notice improper headlight illumination and think your vehicle falls under this recall. You should call your local dealer. It's a great help to have your VIN Vehicle Identification Number ready when doing so.
Certain vehicles may contain headlights that do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Specifically # 108 "Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. This may increase the risk of accidents both during the day and at night. Dealer will replace headlight assemblies. The Infiniti recall # is N/A - Service bulletin # is 06V394000

CERTAIN VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE ¿VERTICAL GRADIENT¿ AND ¿HEADLAMP PHOTOMETRIC VALUES¿ REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, 'LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.'
THIS STANDARD IS TO REDUCE CRASHES, INJURIES AND DEATHS BY PROVIDING ADEQUATE ILLUMINATION OF THE ROADWAY, AND BY ENHANCING THE CONSPICUITY OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE PUBLIC ROADS SO THAT THEIR PRESENCE IS PERCEIVED AND THEIR SIGNALS UNDERSTOOD, BOTH IN DAYLIGHT AND IN DARKNESS OR OTHER CONDITIONS OF REDUCED VISIBILITY.
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLIES. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT APRIL 16, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT INFINITI AT 1-800-662-6200.
