Question: Indicator light was on. Computer won't acknowledge repair

Car failed smog test because the computer would not show repair had been made. All my mechanic can tell me to do is drive it more. Isn't there a way to reset the computer so I can pass smog test, as it failed due to this problem

    Issue is most likely the computer not entering sensor readiness status. it is the vehicle performing "self tests" to confirm sensor reading with what was imputed as required values from the manufacture. should take 50-75 miles, i have seen one car take over 130 miles to reach a state of "readiness"
