Why does this happen and how do I fix it?

    Does the car start? If not try your other key perhaps the key transponder has failed. Check your owner's manual maybe it has useful information.     The car starts for 2 seconds and then shuts down. Thats when the immobilizer activator light comes on. It thinks I'm trying to steal the car. The key remote works all the locks, etc and it allows me to push into ignition and start the car (for 2 seconds).
