Question: I'm unable to pump gas into filler spout real slow, why?

I can't even put the nozzle onto the first hold tab, which is quite slow, by itself, but I have to pump slower by holding onto the trigger to pump.

    I would suspect the fuel tank vent solenoid is not operating correctly (stuck closed), it's part of the emission control system, or the fuel tank or filler neck is damaged but likely to be a tank vent problem.

    I thought it had something to do with the venting, many thanks for the info. Where is the vents located?
