1996 Volkswagen Jetta Question: Ignition wont turn
Answer #1torque wrench from Stewart's Auto Repair LLC, January 16, 2011, 07:25Master
sounds like the shift interlock cable is out of adjustment , It stops you from starting the car without having the car in park, and foot on the brake. You can have someone check that out for you or buy a Haynes or Chilton repair manual for about $20.00 it will tell you how to adjust or replace it, has pictures too for help in locating.
