Question: ignition won't stay in the run position

key will turn to run position but won't stay in that position. what do i need to look at or fix so it stays in run position.tried new ignition switch and does not fix problem

    The electrical portion of those switches frequently failed, two philips screws hold it to the mechanical part of the lock. White has power to switch from battery, black/white sends power to starter when key is turned to the start position other wires at ignition switch when ignition key is in the run position.
