I found it on your sight and Highway safety site, How can I get my car rpaired under this recall since I haven't been able to drive since it broke and locked steering column up in middle of highway.I have been trying for ten months now to get dealer to deal with my concern and they keep passing the buck.

2003 Honda Accord ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION
NHTSA Campaign #10V364000
Date Announced:
AUGUST 05, 2010
Vehicles Affected:
551,498
Summary: Honda is recalling certain model year 2003 Honda Accord, civic two and four door, and model year 2003-2004 Honda element vehicles. The interlock lever of the ignition switch may unexpectedly deform, which can allow the interlock function of a vehicle with an automatic transmission to be defeated.
Consequence: Removal of the ignition key when the gear selector of a vehicle with an automatic transmission has not been shifted to the park position can allow the vehicle to roll away, increasing the risk of a crash.
Actions: Dealers will remove the original interlock pin and lever within the ignition switch, and replace them with new, designed components. This service will be performed free of charge. The safety recall began on October 7, 2010. Owners may contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009. For detailed information & supporting documents, see the official NHTSA page concerning recall #10V364000 ยป

Can I call Honda corporate number and try to get them to consider fixing under recall even though it doesn't come up with my vin number? It just seems too odd that exact same thing happns to mine uring recall timeframe and my is not included. If they had this many cars affected seems as though the possiability of mine may have been defaulted as well. Are my chances slim to none for them to agree on repair cost?

ignition switch fails on all cars. if your vin was not in the re call then they will not honor it. yours may have failed for another reason.
