2001 Dodge Ram Van 3500

 

Question: ignition switch has been changed when the van got 15 seats.

My ignition switch in the van now is not the same as is listed in autoparts stores. The one that needs replacing has no identifying marks that indicate where it came from. OEM swith is bigger around and shorter with a different face on the key plate. Does anyone know what needs to happen to get the right switch?

    Can the Dodge dealer help you by looking at parts slides a few years newer and older than your model? Perhaps your van was some conversion are there any decals on the door jams saying that the van was modified perhaps by a camper or bus company.
