ignition lock replacement on 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Im replacing the ignition lock cylinder in my 72 olds cutlass icannot figure out how to get the old out.Thanks Joe.

I am assuming the ignition lock is in the steering column, the steering wheel is off, and the lock plate and turn signal switch are out of the way. If I remember correctly there is a metal tab on the lock cylinder inside the column housing that you press with a small screw driver to release the lock cylinder so that you can pull it out of the column housing.
