Question: ignition key out, still beeps

taking ignition key out, the beeping under dash continues, as if key is still in, until door is closed.

    There is a switch in the ignition switch that informs the chime relay to operate and turn off. If that switch is stuck on, then this will happen. It may be that the relay is bad as well.
