How many ignition coils are there in this car?

6 cylinder engine= 6 ignition coils.

They are called "coil on plugs" or COPS ignition coils. There is one for each cylinder. 3 in the front and 3 in the back (transverse motor)

To do this job you must remove the intake plenum for firewall side to gain access. There are 3 in the front and 3 in the rear.
